Black Road Christmas Tree Farms runs three separate choose-and-cut fields along Black Road, about two and a half miles up from Highway 17. Together they grow tens of thousands of trees.
All three fields are open on weekends during daylight hours, and one field is also open on weekdays. Midday on weekends is the busiest time. Fresh wreaths and mistletoe are sold, and there’s free firewood at one field while it lasts.

Before you go
Mountain roads up here are narrow and winding, and cell service can drop out. Leave extra time, wear shoes that can handle mud, and bring gloves plus rope or straps in case you need to tie the tree down yourself. See the best time to visit and the planning guide.
